Getting to Obergurgl and your Hotel Gamper

Arriving by plane
The closest airport to Obergurgl is at Innsbruck (1 hour drive) from where you can book a comfortable airport taxi to transport you into the mountains. Arrive at Hotel Gamper in style without having to worry about the traffic and finding a parking space when you do arrive.

Arriving by car
From the West:
From Vorarlberg travel to Tirol via the
Arlberg Pass or through the Arlberg Tunnel (S 16 Federal Road) in the direction
of Landeck. Change to the A 12 Autobahn and take the Oetztal exit. Follow the B
186 Federal Road for 50 km to Oetztal
From the North:
From Bad Toelz take the Achen Pass an the B 181 Federal Road. At Jenbach
take the A 12 Autobahn towards Innsbruck and the Oetztal exit.
From Pfronten, Reutte, Fernpass, Imst take the A 12 Autobahn and exit at Ötztal or take the B 171 Federal Road to Oetztal (no Vignette toll-sticker required).
From Garmisch Partenkirchen, Mittenwald, Scharnitz, Seefeld, Telfs take the A 12 Autobahn and exit at Oetztal or take B 171 Federal Road to Oetztal (no Vignette toll-sticker required!)
From the East:
From Munich or Salzburg take the A 93
Autobahn to Kufstein then take the A 12 Autobahn towards Innsbruck and follow
the signs for Oetztal and Obergurgl.
From the South:
From Merano/South Tirol travel via the
Timmelsjoch Pass to Soelden and then on to Oetztal. Journey along a high Alpine
road leading up to 2,500 meters above sea level. The pass is open only from the
beginning of June to the middle/end of October an is a toll road.
Arrival by train
The nearest train station to reach Obergurgl is the Oetztal train station.
International trains travel as far as Innsbruck. From there, you can take a regional train to the Oetztal train station.
